Flow Cytometry

Blue®Plate enables fully automated, high-throughput cell washes for flow cytometry with minimal cell loss or damage and highly effective background removal. Low-g, gentle centrifugation deposits cells into Cell®Safe reservoirs at the bottom of Blue®Plate wells where they are safely retained while the Blue®Washer centrifugally evacuates all of the liquid above the reservoirs. The Blue®Washer dispenser efficiently re-suspends cells for subsequent washes.

Blue®Plate + Blue®CombiX

SIMPLE 3-STEP WORKFLOW, FULLY AUTOMATED

1

Spin cells into
 Cell®Safe

10-30 seconds at 1000g

Load Blue®Plate into  Blue®CombiX rotor bottom.
Blue®CombiX - running in centrifuge mode -  settle cells into Cell®Safe reservoirs at the bottom of the  Blue®Plate without creating pellets

2

remove all medium above Cell®Safe

30 seconds

Next the Blue®CombiX's autoloader transfers the  Blue®Plate to the rotor top. While the  Blue®CombiX - now operating in evacuation mode - centrifugally evacuates all the liquid above the reservoirs, cells are retained in their Cell®Safes

3

re-suspend cells
out of Cell®Safe

15 seconds

The Blue®CombiX dispenser quickly re-suspends cells for subsequent washes,
efficiently mixing them with wash buffer
Blue®CombiX automatically repeats centrifugation, evacuation and liquid addition steps as required by your flow cytometry sample prep protocol. Blue®Plates are compatible with all major flow cytometers - after the final wash step, simply load the Blue®Plate into your flow cytometer for cell acquisition and analysis.

HLA microarray production using Blue®Washer

Blue®Washer Optimizes HLA Microarray Production with High Spot Integrity

The Authors evaluated the Blue®Washer for the production of HLA microarrays, demonstrating its compatibility by "maintaining spot integrity and sensitivity at low (35-50g) g-forces" during washes. Blue®Washer accelerates and simplifies the manufacturing process, making it suitable for "high-throughput production while preserving the quality" of the microarrays.

Plate Coating Protocol

Knight al al. (2018) desribe  a coating protocol for 1536 MTPs using BlueWasher and achieve ready to go plates for cellular assays. Using a dynamic mass distribution (DMR) assay they could show an improvement of z' - value of about 1.0 due to removal of resdual fibronectin with the BlueWasher.
